About EduTopics

Education:

The systematic instruction, teaching, or training in various academic and non-academic subjects given to or received by a child, typically at a school; the course of scholastic instruction a person receives in his or her lifetime. Also: instruction or training given to or received by an adult.

-from the Oxford English Dictionary

EduTopics is a blog written by graduate and undergraduate university students with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and philosophies. Our common goal is to disseminate information and initiate conversations about the landscape of education worldwide as it applies to all ages. The students writing here come from a wide variety of academic fields, including education, psychology, communications, and public affairs. Despite our differences, we all believe that access to education is a key element in a socially just society. With this principle in mind, the articles and editorials shared at EduTopics strive to report successes, failures, innovations, controversies, and inspirations that will spark your participation. More than anything, we hope this blog helps build a community of readers invested in seeing an improvement both in the quality and availability of education to all populations and demographics.

EduTopics welcomes your comments, questions, suggestions, and feedback!
